Our Chef

“I am absolutely passionate about all things food.  I am constantly reading anything I can get my hands on regarding ingredients, recipes, food trends and eating!  I love to create, cook and feed people.  There is nothing more gratifying to me than seeing someone absolutely savor something I’ve prepared especially for them.”

Chef Deanna Fitchat has been a high-end private chef and catering chef for over twenty years.  She earned her International Culinary Degree with Honors from the Art Institute in San Diego and had the opportunity to intern with a James Beard nominated chef while in school.

She worked for 5 years with San Diego’s absolute premier catering company, as both a Catering Chef de Cuisine as well as the Sous Chef for one of the company operated bistros.  Deanna worked as a full-time private chef in San Diego for individual families including one family that was vegan, and gluten-free so she is very experienced with limited dietary guidelines.

She moved to Park City in 2015 and began DeeLicious Park City in the winter of 2017.  She teamed up with Mountain Town Olive Oil in 2018 to offer The Next Course cooking demo and wine pairing classes which are growing in popularity as one of Park City’s “things to do” when you’re not on the slopes.

In 2022 she opened Deelicious Café offering daily fresh made soups, amazing sandwiches, high end deli case gourmet to go hot lunch and take home dinner items as well as express meals and party platters.

Deanna is currently partnering with Mountain Town’s owner, Jessica McCleary to write a cookbook based on the Next Course recipes.  She is also focused on a major project to expand our café to offer weekend hours, expanded seating, and a coffee bar with hot cooked breakfast items.

“When I started my culinary adventure my two sons were quite young so, as a single mom I have been blessed to be able to sustain my business through word of mouth over the last decade.  Now that both of my boys are off in college, I am able to focus on growing my business as I establish myself here in Park City.  However, it is always very important to me to be able to keep my business at a capacity where I can continue to deliver my personal culinary special touches to every single client.”   -Deanna
