Chef Deanna Berry is driven by an absolute passion for all things food—a passion that fuels a career spanning over two decades of high-end private chef and catering service. Her philosophy is simple: to create, cook, and feed people, always delivering her own personal culinary touch to every client and dish.
A Foundation of Excellence
Deanna’s professional journey is built on a strong foundation. She earned her International Culinary Degree with Honors from the Art Institute in San Diego, where she also secured a prestigious internship with a James Beard nominated chef.
In addition to her culinary credentials, Deanna is equipped with a strong business background, holding both an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. This comprehensive skill set—combining culinary creativity with financial acumen—is the driving force behind the strategic growth, expansion, and success of DeeLicious Park City.
Following graduation, Deanna spent five years honing her skills at San Diego’s premier catering company, serving both as a Catering Chef de Cuisine and as the Sous Chef for one of the company’s operated bistros. This deep experience later allowed her to flourish as a private chef, successfully managing the complex and demanding dietary guidelines of individual families, including those requiring vegan and gluten-free expertise.
Establishing DeeLicious Park City
Deanna relocated to Park City in 2015, quickly establishing DeeLicious Park City in the winter of 2017. Her business quickly became a fixture in the local community, known for quality and innovation.
Key Milestones in Park City
The Next Course (2018): Deanna partnered with Mountain Town Olive Oil to launch “The Next Course,” a successful series of cooking demonstrations and wine pairing classes. These hands-on events have grown into one of Park City’s most popular off-slope activities.
DeeLicious Café (2022): Responding to demand, Deanna opened the full-service DeeLicious Café. The café offers craft coffees, made-to-order hot breakfast, daily fresh soups, gourmet high-end sandwiches, convenient take-home dinners, and party platters.
Expansion (Winter 2025/2026): Deanna is currently focused on an exciting expansion to open a “mini” Deelicious Cafe inside Jackson’s Hideaway at the Park City Mountain Resort.
Commitment to the Personal Touch
Deanna’s success has been sustained through word-of-mouth recommendations over the last decade. As she focuses on expanding her business—including partnering with Mountain Town’s owner, Jessica McCleary, to write a cookbook based on the Next Course recipes—her central commitment remains unchanged.
She is dedicated to keeping her business at a capacity where she can continue to personally deliver the culinary special touches that her loyal clients have come to expect.
